TEACHING & PLANNING RESOURCES
DCPS Arts, in the Office of Teaching and Learning, provides DCPS Arts teachers with unit overviews and achievement guides aligned to the Framework for Arts Learning. These documents provide teachers with guidance regarding how to implement the student-centered, thematic curriculum while clearly communicating what students should be learning and be able to do through each development cycle.

ARTS CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT (ACE) Fellowships provide teachers the opportunity to work with DCPS Arts Central Office staff as well as district arts organizations to enrich their classroom practice, engage deeply with the arts curriculum and develop as leaders. ACE Fellowships are yearlong commitments that provide teachers with experiences to grow as professionals in the arts and education. Topics are based on the needs and interests of the program and educators. Fellowships in the 2016-17 school year include:
- engaging with challenging topics through the arts
- DC Keys program design and development
- showcasing student work
- leadership development through independent research
